Lots Of Great New Fashion Tips To Put A Spring In Your Step This Season
There are lots of juicy new styles to get your hands on this Spring, which we are very excited about - we may still be in the cold, dark grip of winter, but the nights are already starting to get lighter and it's time to plan our Spring wardrobes now. Even if your bank account hasn't quite recovered from Christmas, there are a few essential items that can bring your wardrobe bang up to date without you having to raid your piggy bank.
Hot Tip Number 1 - Lots of Bold Colours
This Spring is going to bring a riot of colour to the high street, straight from the catwalks, you can feel free to mix and match all the colours of the rainbow. This follows several seasons where there has been a predominance of neutral colours. The only rule is to wear colours in bold contrasting blocks.

Hot Tip Number 2 - Mix Neutrals With Bold Colours
Yes, some of you might have read the news above of colour blocking in bright colours and felt rather unhappy - brights all over are admittedly not for everyone. The good news is that you can still wear those neutral colours you have in your wardrobe from last season, but mix them in with one bright hue, mixing dove tones with a bright cherry pink or yellow for example. Stick to one bright colour though if following this tip.

Hot Tip Number 3 - Pleats
We haven't seen many pleats around for some time, but think '70s, with soft, flowing fabrics, and sun-ray pleats in lightweight and sheer fabrics. There will be lots of pleated maxi skirts, and pleated trousers, which give a powerful statement due to the size and flow they create in motion.

Hot Tip Number 4 - Softly Tailored Shirts
Along with blocked colours, 2011 is a year for separates and the shirt will be top of the list, in softly tailored, cropped and mandarin collar styles. Cropped shirts (the ones pictured here by Viktor & Rolf have tails at the back too) look fantastic with cropped trousers. For a more classic and casual look, wear a silky, blouse style shirt, with dark jeans and high heels.
