Mama Mia The Film Is A Big Hit - But What About 70s Fashion?
I know this is a fashion blog, but I just had to mention that I watched Mama Mia (the movie) this weekend and it has to be one of the best movies I have seen in ages. It had me crying with laughter and it was fantastic to hear all the ABBA hits, especially the part where Donna (the mother) and her pals dress up ABBA style and break out a rendition of Super Trouper as "Donna and the Dynamos".
But What Exactly Is ABBA Fashion?
- Definitely a flared velvet jumpsuit is useful as a staple item.
- Alternatively, try a white tight body suit, teamed with gold thigh high boots and a gold cape.
- Maybe a mini tunic teamed with some sparkling leggings and high heels - a feather boa can never go to waste here either.
Seriously Though - Can You Wear ABBA Fashion Now?
The answer is - yes, but its ABBA fashion with a noughties edge - jumpsuits are back! However there are some tips for successfully wearing a jumpsuit that should be followed.
- Find one which has a sleek rather than a baggy fit.
- Increase the glamour element by wearing it with heels - either boots or sandals.

- Team short jumpsuits with tights and boots for a more casual look.
